Ergonomics, functionality and aesthetics are not just simple notions with which we operate. These are the principles that guide us in creating our projects. In the case of Narrow house project they had to be adapted to the specific dimensions of the project as the construction was extended mostly lengthwise and vertically. With a relatively modest surface, we managed to include in the project all the premises necessary for a comfortable living.
Convenience must be in line with style; otherwise it would make no sense to say that interior design is a creative industry. So, we used the restrictions to turn the premise into an aesthetic one. We opted for a contemporary minimalism style. We have chosen a minimalist railing and filomuro type doors. We reduced the complexity of the shapes as much as possible and relied on the flow of natural light. In order to bring naturalness to the premises we were inspired by the colours of nature and even recreated a rock on one of the walls. The light neutral colours contributed to the creation of the feeling of a spacious premise, and to enhance such perception of space we resorted to scenographic lighting.
