Iconic House – laconic lines full of calmness
Located in a picturesque rural area, in the North-Eastern part of the Republic of Moldova, at a distance of 150 km from Chisinau, the project becomes an object of promising emotional and physiological refuge.
The symbolism of the site, which is strategically oriented towards the Dniester River, offers great potential for construction with symbolic aspirations.
Having a total area of 310 sq.m. the construction was organized in 2 levels and occupies a modest area compared to a land lot surface of 8206 sq.m.
Large space and transparency can be listed among the main features of the dwelling. The wide windows allow the natural light to enter abundantly. Laconic lines emphasize the natural context in which we sought to create a project even more.
Those 3 bedrooms along with the kitchen and the living area have been designed with fabulous panoramic openings, and the fitness room and home cinema being removed to the basement represent an exceptional alternative for entertainment.
The area of the site allowed arranging terraces, a swimming pool and a carport next to the house – each of the elements is thought out and executed in a laconic style, in line with the main building.
No matter how simple the construction may seem, the ambition and need to build on a metal base prompted us to rethink the layout of elements using the most reliable and energy-efficient way. Wooden finishes that fit perfectly into the surroundings, a parapet-free pool and landscape design requiring minimal maintenance are just some of the features of this building, which can easily be attributed to modern architecture.
