This architectural project takes us to the Cote d’Azur. And if meeting the requirements of our customers is the goal we are used to, in the case of this project, we also had to strictly comply with the law. As it is a well-known area of France, its preservation has conditioned a strict set of rules. In order to combine them with the client’s wishes, it was necessary to respect the height regime, but also to identify the solutions that would favour the arrangement of all necessary elements.
The arrangement of the premises requested by the client resulted in a residential architecture project that extends over three levels. And for the project to meet all the legal requirements, we placed one of them in the basement. The other two floors were placed on a slope so as to provide maximum opening to the sea. Having a captivating view, we could not leave it unused. Thus, the panoramic windows of the upper floors cover 3 of the sides of the house.
We offered the house a modern look. We opted for succinct lines, which blend into an irregular geometry. Thanks to the glass, which was used generously, we ensured the transparency of the house. Light hues of plaster used as a finishing material supports the effect of ephemerality. The led strips arranged on the perimeter emphasize the volumetric play and redirect the construction to the contemporary trend. On the other hand, we used a wooden structure in the project, which seductively adds comfort to this architectural project of the house.
