Hill Housing: when the architecture of the house merges with the relief

As much as we are fascinated by the large multifunctional projects, the more we focus on the details that ensure comfort and originality in the smallest ones. Although in the case of the given blocks we have only the ground floor and the first floor, the levels were the main point that we focused on when creating the concept. That is, we focused not on the floors of the house, but on the relief levels.

We built the entire ensemble of houses at different levels in order to easily arrange a land lot with 6 meters difference between levels. So the land lot was divided into 3 zones, each with its own constructions. At the same time we kept the feeling of unity, arranging the entire ensemble in the same style. We have chosen natural materials for buildings: on the ground floor, the façade was covered with natural stone with a shade of grey colour, for the balcony and terrace areas we have chosen wood, thus creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere, the rest of the façade is covered with white plaster that offers ephemerality and highlights the other elements.

The idea of unity continues in the courtyard as well. The common space has acquired fluidity due to the stairs that connect different levels and the main focus of the idea of continuity has become the cover between two dwellings, which creates the impression of connection and allows perceiving the entire ensemble as an integral concept. At the same time, we observed the distance between houses for to offer privacy to the dwellers.
